BSL Teaching Assistant

The Opportunity
We are looking for a BSL Specialist Teaching Assistant to work with Deaf/hearing impaired children across various schools working within a very supportive team of professionals. The role is full-time with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.

� Position - Specialist Teaching Assistant with L2 British Sign Language
� Type of work - Contract
� Start date - 02/09/2024
� Duration - ongoing
� Rate of pay: GBP80 - GBP120 per day depending on qualification

Experience, Training and Qualifications required:
� Qualified Teaching assistant
� Previous experience working with Deaf/hearing impaired children and young people is preferable
� Use of specialist resources and technologies to support children and young people with hearing impairment
� Experience of using British Sign Language alongside speech to facilitate communication is essential.
To be eligible for this role, the potential Specialist Teaching Assistant must:
� Hold the right to work in the UK
� Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
� Provide two professional child-related references.
� Clean full UK driving licence
