Overview



My client are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Building Services Design/Project Manager to join their exciting and growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the design and implementation of building services, including mechanical and electrical systems. This role will involve coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery, particularly within the retail sector.



Responsibilities




  • Oversee the design and implementation of building services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively

  • Collaborate with design managers and other project stakeholders to ensure innovative and sustainable building service solutions

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and maintain quality standards



Day-to-day




  • Collaborating with design managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative building services solutions

  • Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure project progress and quality standards are met

  • Communicating project updates and requirements with internal and external teams

  • Managing project budgets and timelines to ensure efficient resource allocation

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle



Qualifications




  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus

  • Proven experience in building services design, project management, and retail sector

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including their design and implementation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
