Job Title: Building Surveyor

Location: Sevenoaks (preferred) / London



About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Building Surveyor to join our team, primarily based in our Sevenoaks office with opportunities to work on-site across London and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in building surveys, report writing, and contract administration, particularly focused on high-rise residential properties.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Conduct building surveys on high-rise residential properties, including detailed inspections and report writing.

  • Assist with the delivery of building safety case works, including the preparation of building safety case reports.

  • Support the administration of contracts and act as an Employer's Agent for remediation works.

  • Liaise closely with clients, residents, contractors, developers, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth progression of projects.

  • Develop an understanding of the Building Safety Act requirements and apply guidance from the regulator in collaboration with project team members.

  • Gain experience in building pathology, diagnostics, and reporting on various building types, including residential, educational, and healthcare facilities.

  • Support the preparation of key building information and compliance trackers using appropriate software (training provided).

  • Assist in the tender process and procurement of consultants and contractors.

  • Work closely with the Team Leader/Delivery Director on project delivery, providing essential support in all aspects of the building surveyor role.

Skills, Knowledge, and Development:




  • Strong interest in building surveying, with a focus on high-rise residential properties.

  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in building safety case preparation, contract administration, and client liaison.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to take minutes and understand the context of discussions.

  • Valid UK driving license required.
