Building Surveyor - Retrofit

Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting a Building Surveyor for a permanent retrofit role based in Southeast London.

Our client is a well-established Building Consultancy with offices based in Southeast London. They are focused on undertaking retrofit surveys for Local Authorities and Housing Associations. Due to continued growth, they are recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join the business for retrofit projects.

All candidates must have contract administration experience. We are open to applications from Building Surveyor who are looking to transfer into a Retrofit role, as our client will support with training and qualifications.

This is a hybrid role with 60% being office/site based and 40% working from home. All sites will be located within the Greater London area.

The Retrofit Building Surveyor role will include:

• Undertaking pre and post retrofit inspection works on a range of commercial, education, local government and residential sites.


• A mixture of project work and contracted service surveys.


• Complete all necessary approval paperwork for scheme designs.


• Preparing and submitting applications for Building Consent and Building Control Approvals.


• Contract Administration duties in compliance with practice procedures and verification strategies.


• Completing and delivering technical reports directly to developers, local councils, contractors and internal contractors.


• Liaising with management and support staff throughout the surveying process.

Candidates Must Have:

BSc Degree or similar in Building Surveying

Technical knowledge of a wide range commercial and residential works

Extensive knowledge of Building Maintenance and diagnostic techniques

Health and Safety legislation knowledge

Pay: �50,000.00-�55,000.00 per year
