Building Surveyor – Major Works & Fire Safety – Scotland - c£57k



We’re working with a large, national residential property services provider who are in the process of ensuring their entire portfolio meets current and pipeline H&S and Fire Risk standards alongside regular and scheduled maintenance.



With extensive planned, remedial and retro-fit works required, they now seek a highly accomplished Building Surveyor as follows: 




  • Professionally qualified – ideally accredited (MCIOB / MRICS or similar) but others considered.

  • Based within the Southwest of England in order to visit sites as required.

  • Broad experience spanning the full range of professional and project duties including defect diagnosis, project management, specifications/tenders, insurance reinstatement cost assessments, license for alteration, snagging, Section 20’s etc.

  • Understanding of the H&S issues and regulations that apply to surveying, contractor management and project delivery.

  • Commercially savvy and able to clearly articulate commercial performance with senior managers.

  • Experience and willingness to build relationships with teams to identify and drive improvement opportunities.



The suitable Building Surveyor will come from a stable career history, be prepared to travel across a Scottish / Northern England portfolio and have a thorough understanding of current and pipeline Health & Safety, Project Management and Surveying guidance/legislation. 



Salary for the successful Building Surveyor will start at up to £53k basic + £4500 car allowance and benefits package.
