Building Surveyor

Our client, a distinguished consultancy specialising in rail and commercial buildings, is currently seeking a Building Surveyor to join their team based in Leeds. This is a contract position offering the opportunity to work on a variety of projects within the rail sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting detailed building surveys on rail and commercial buildings
• Preparing comprehensive reports and recommendations
• Assessing the condition of buildings and providing appropriate solutions
• Managing and coordinating projects from inception to completion
• Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders for effective project delivery
• Ensuring all work is in compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Providing professional advice on property and construction matters
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and safety standards

Job Requirements:

• Experience in building surveying, specifically within the rail and commercial buildings sector
• Chartered status is desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Understanding of relevant building regulations and safety standards
• Proficiency in survey and project management tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative tea
