Business Analyst – Investment Operations Our client, a UK based International Investment firm who offer excellent hybrid working and Benefits, currently seek a Business Analyst on a 12-month FTC to support the Head of Investment Operations in increasing effectiveness and efficiency by reviewing existing processes and introducing standardisation and automationAs a Business Analyst you must have extensive experience specialising in Operational improvement and change projects, this role sits within the Investment Operations team so alongside being a proven Business Analyst, understanding high volume processing environments, operational process flows and lifecycles is essential Key ResponsibilitiesCreate a full inventory of processes the team is responsible forReview each process to identify areas for improvementUnderstand business needs and develop and refine solution ideas with stakeholders within the team and wider organisationDocument process maps and procedures for each processDefine internal reporting arising from each processWork with stakeholders to implement agreed solutionsLead detailed design exercisesIdentify data requirements and enhancements Line manage the Portfolio Data CoordinatorCreate business cases detailing cost, benefit, timeline and resource estimatesEssential Candidate Background/SkillsSuccessful candidates will have a background delivering formal business projects within private equity, investment management, investment banking or similar financial services organisationThey will have a proven ability to see the bigger picture, able to demonstrate use of in-depth insight and foresight to challenge and promote collective thinking to support positive outcomesThey will be comfortable working in ambiguous environments, with the ability to problem solve across multiple teams.Essential Experience Required Experience designing and producing compelling solutionsStrong analytic skills, ability to analyse problems, identify cause and develop potential solution optionsAbility to approach problems from a range of different angles, making connections between disparate processes and pieces of informationUnderstanding of approaches to defining target operating models and business re-engineering techniquesExperience documenting detailed process maps and proceduresAttention to detail ensuring a high degree of accuracy for all deliverablesProficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPointAbility to build rapport with key internal stakeholdersDesirable skills:Understanding of private equity funds and the administration processes that are required to support themUnderstanding of data, data flows and data quality processes within asset management or a similar operating environmentExperience using Portfolio Management Systems, ideally eFrontAwareness of various data visualisation tools and techniques, ideally Power BI
