Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our Belfast team on behalf of our client. The successful candidate will be pivotal in aligning business needs with technical solutions. This role focuses on data mapping, analysis, and working with XML to ensure precise and effective data integration across systems. Key Responsibilities: Data Mapping & Analysis: Perform in-depth data mapping to facilitate seamless system integration. Analyse and document data flows, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to capture data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. XML Management: Use XML to structure, store, and transfer data between different systems. Ensure proper formatting and parsing of XML documents to support smooth business operations. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements. Partner with developers and technical teams to convert business needs into actionable functional specifications. Project Support: Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects to ensure they meet business objectives. Provide ongoing analysis and support throughout the project lifecycle, including testing and validation of solutions. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Act as a key liaison between business units, technology teams, and external vendors. Deliver regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the financial services sector. Strong expertise in data mapping techniques and tools. Proficiency in working with XML for data structuring and integration. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with project management methodologies is a plus.
