Business Development Director - Central Government
Role Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Business Development Director to join our growing team. This full-time role offers a flexible hybrid or remote working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with the UK Central Government and a proven background in technology consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement strategic business development initiatives to drive growth and surpass sales goals.
- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the UK Central Government and broader public sector.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and clients.
- Work closely with internal teams to develop customized solutions that align with client needs and expectations.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, pitches, and presentations to win new contracts and partnerships.
- Track market trends, policy changes, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Lead negotiations and close deals to ensure successful contract awards and revenue growth.
- Provide regular updates on business development activities, performance, and pipeline to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 10-12 years of experience in business development, focusing on the public sector or UK Central Government.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong knowledge of the technology consulting services sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with government and public sector clients.
- Strategic thinker with the capability to create and execute effective business development plans.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, with a high level of accountability.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid/remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a consulting firm.
- Extensive network within the public sector and UK Central Government.
- In-depth understanding of emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the public sector.
