About the jobJob title: Business Development ExecutiveOur client, one of the UK's top-performing connectivity businesses is seeking a BDE with a proven track record in selling either WANs/LANs/WiFi or Security solutions in the IT industry.You will require demonstrable experience in selling at least one of these technologies and be given opportunity for learning and developing skills in technologies you are unfamiliar with. You will also be backed by highly skilled and dedicated pre-sales / service architects who will support you with designing the solutions and services you will be tasked with selling.This is a chance to join a business that is completely devoid of politics, onerous boards of people and unnecessary governance and controls. The business moves at pace, supporting staff to get on with there job and removing any unnecessary obstacles, especially when it comes to selling.This role offers clear opportunities for advancement and well-defined career progression paths.Responsibilities:Seek out, target and build proper and deeper relationships with customers.You will be responsible for communicating clearly, in your way and your personal style.Qualify your prospects consistently, professionally and respectfully.Manage your relationships, internally and externally.Develop and manage your new business pipeline, accurately forecasting to the business.Work extensively with the solutions pre-sales team to build confidence in your relationships.Champion the customers within the business, making sure their needs and wishes are met.You will always have high levels of energy, enthusiasm and drive in representing the business.Grow the business by hitting your targets and numbers.Present up to date sales information and results reporting against your objectives and target.Skills:Enthusiasm, energy and self-motivationExcellent verbal and written skillsExcellent relationship building skillsIntegrity, honesty and a great work ethicEnough resilience to keep pace in a challenging and fast-moving environmentA results focused approachThe ability to work effectively under pressure to tight deadlinesExperience:Solid and demonstrable experience in Business Development in the IT industry.Experience in selling at least one of either WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi or Security products.Experience working in a fast paced SME MSP environment.Really comfortable with finding and self-generating new business relationships.Demonstrable Experience of managing and influencing senior decision makers.A track record and evidence in managing complexed sales opportunities.Stability in your previous sales roles.The package:💸 Competitive salary (£50K basic subject to experience + £125K commission (uncapped)🏖️ 25 days holiday increasing with length of service + bank holidays💼 Enhanced pension🌴 Enhanced family friendly leave and pay✔️ Income Protection🩺 Private medical🛡️ Life AssuranceLocation:This is a home based contract - expected to visit West Midlands office twice per month and frequent travel to customer meetings across the UK.
