Source Solutions are partnering with an established marine and ports services company with further growth plans, to identify a seasoned Business Development Manager to both build on current client relationships as we as grow the company’s presence within the wider marine and shipping market.
With the company’s technical expertise laying in vessel/tank cleaning, fuel polishing, waste removal as well as other marine engineering and port services, the role will see the successful candidate targeting ship owners, operators, ship management businesses across the wide range of markets – including but not limited to bulk, container, cruise, offshore & tugs, tankers, naval and more.
With the main focus being long-term relationships, aimed at repeat business and upselling of further products and services, the role would require a candidate with significant knowledge of the makeup of the commercial shipping sector and ideally an existing network across Purchasing Managers, Ship Managers/Superintendents, Fleet Managers, Chief Engineers etc.
This is a superb opportunity to make an impact on an already established business as they aim to continue their growth and expansion both in terms of size and geography. You will operate with a great deal of autonomy and see real rewards for your efforts.
Candidate Profile:
* Strong track record of product or services sales within shipping sector
* Knowledge of structure of the industry (across as many markets as possible)
* Existing network to call upon but also ability to grow current client spend
* Ideally, some form of engineering or operational background within marine and shipping
