Their vision includes futuristic projects such as supersonic travel with Hyperloop One, floating cities, and even Mars colonization.Role Description:As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the acquisition of projects and creating new business opportunities.Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, you will work closely with the Managing Director, Bidding Manager, in-house Legal team, and Business Development teams across global offices. Your key responsibilities include:Producing content independently and discussing key strategy points with the Director of Business Development.Creating initiatives to support project acquisition and new business creation.Strengthening the studio’s presence in existing markets, with a primary focus on the UK.Opening new submarkets and sectors, leading new business initiatives, and managing the pipeline.Maintaining and expanding client, consultant, and collaborator connections.Leading and delivering special projects and proactive activities.Running several simultaneous pursuits from start to finish with limited oversight.Managing acquisitions, including production and coordination of technical and commercial proposals.Vetting RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and overseeing submissions.Hosting meetings with potential clients and leading follow-ups.Giving office and project tours to clients, consultants, and VIPs.Representing the studio at events and conferences in the UK.Conducting market research and developing marketing materials.Participating in leadership pipeline meetings and global Business Development meetings.Helping maintain CRM databases and presenting reports on new and potential projects.Preparing regular status updates and taking initiative to bring new ideas to the table.What We’re Looking For:4-6 years of experience in a similar position within the construction industry.Solid understanding of architecture, building procedures, and urban planning in the UK; experience in the Middle East is a plus.Ability to strategize new business development initiatives and run multiple simultaneous pursuits with limited oversight.Proficiency in producing content independently, including managing acquisitions and producing PQs.Excellent communication and organizational skills.A proactive approach with the ability to deliver projects and deliverables independently.Experience with CRM systems (Sugar is a plus).Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.Excellence in English, spoken and written.Why Join?This studio is infectiously ambitious and unified by a mission to craft the world they want to live in, one project at a time.
