Business Development Executive - Electronics & Embedded Systems

I'm partnering with a leading specialist in embedded systems development, delivering tailored solutions to clients across the globe. As a Business Development Executive, you'll play a key role in driving expansion by acquiring new customers and strengthening international presence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify New Opportunities: Research, identify and pursue potential new customers and new business opportunities
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of new prospects and ensure consistent follow up and engagement with potential customers
  • Solutions Analysis: Understand the specific needs of each customer, offering advice on system design integration and overall project feasibility
    • Conduct site visits and assessments to accurately capture client requirements and project scope
    • Lead negotiations with clients and stakeholders to secure profitable contracts
  • Cross functional collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Engineering and Product Teams to refine strategies
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Track, report and optimise performance against targets and overall sales goals.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor closely market trends, competitors, and industry developments

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in B2B business development, technical sale sales or application engineer within the embedded systems, electronics or technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, including hardware, software and related technologies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand complex systems and convey this knowledge to clients
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Results driven mindset with focus on identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities
  • Comfortable in using various digital tools to manage leads and track progress
  • A passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional service
  • Thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment and be open to feedback and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to travel for clients meetings, presentations and industry events as required

Package:

  • Base salary circa �45k plus commission and car allowance
