Our client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive the growth of partnerships with major UK commercial vehicle fleets during their shift to low/zero-emission energy solutions. The role requires leading outreach initiatives, consulting with fleet operators, and providing strategic insights to refine the company’s approach in a rapidly evolving market.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engage UK van and HGV fleet operators, using a consultative sales approach to understand their decarbonisation needs and challenges.
- Leverage telematics and routing data to inform lead generation and site selection, ensuring optimal fit for fleet customers.
- Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including OEMs, leasing companies, and other partners accelerating fleet decarbonisation.
- Maintain up-to-date customer resources to educate on low-emission fuels and the company’s services. Accurately record all customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and forums to promote the company’s solutions and expand the network.
- Provide regular insights to the Business Development Director and senior leadership to adapt the business plan and sales strategies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
- Familiarity with the commercial vehicle or renewable energy sector is advantageous.
- Experience using CRM systems for managing leads and customer interactions.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the UK, up to four days a week.
