Job Title: Business Development Manager - Networking
Salary:
Up to £40,000 basic + commission

Purpose of the Role
Working as part of the Business Management Networking team, your primary role will be responsible for developing and uncovering sales opportunities for Nimans portfolio of networking products and promoting the products & services available from Nimans.
You will be expected to create & manage an active pipeline of opportunities within your business area, reporting all activities and successes on a monthly basis.
You will have a fluent role to develop and explore existing customers as well as new prospects and opportunities as they are presented to you.
As well as uncovering and developing customers to increase their exposure to Nimans you will need to be agile to follow project leads we or our vendor partners may have uncovered.
The expectation is that this role is customer facing for a minimum of 3 days per week with the remaining days for productive follow up work.
Key Responsibilities
Must have an extensive knowledge and understanding of the Niman’s go to market strategy, our proposition, brand portfolio & related services.
Channel knowledge is vital, where we compete, who we compete against, where we add value and then the ability to impress this and demonstrate to customers.
Discipline and self-motivation – this individual will be required to manage, deploy, and demonstrate their own diary movements; to include – customer & vendor meetings, demonstrations, events etc.
This individual will need to deliver concise and useful visit reports, follow these through and measure the results. Reporting to include:
Details of customer visits. Key contacts. Category feedback on what are they buying? Where from? Why not Niman’s? What actions by category do we need to achieve to turn them to Nimans? Financials? What do they need from us? can we support through our Credit team?
Communication of report to Senior management and the wider Sales team to assist delivering on the actions.
The ability to profile the opportunity and then make own judgement on its potential productivity is required. This will come from both self and the Internal Sales teams at Niman’s.
Meet KPI/visit criteria set out by management, to be achieved.
In addition to the above, you may be asked to carry out other duties as deemed appropriate
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience within a channel sales environment (IT/Telecom/AV).
Proven success in Business Development / Strategic Account Management / Sales.
Previous experience of sales pipeline management.
Experience of working at a strategic level.
Understanding the Niman’s portfolio commercially.
Understanding the Midwich Groups divisional make up and how to articulate it.
Desirable
Field/Customer facing experience.
Technical acumen – ability to understand and articulate Nimans Portfolio with a good level of competency

If the successful candidate is from outside the Greater Manchester area, the role will be field/home-based. If the successful candidate is from within the Greater Manchester area, the role will be hybrid.
