Business Development Manager (PR-1276376)Location: Remote (UK Based) with travel required as per business demands Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 basic (DOE) + OTE - £110/£115K+ BenefitsThe organisation:Our client has created a comprehensive market leading academic operations platform for universities, school districts and individual schools worldwide. With 20+ years experience serving the Higher Education sector, this organisation offers an array of cutting-edge SaaS products to suit any educational need such as curriculum, scheduling, workload, student registration, resource management, analytics and reporting tools to enable better planning and a better education for all.What you’ll be doing:As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the Higher Education sector. The Business Development Manager will report into the VP of Sales and will manage the full 360 sales cycle from prospecting through to deal closure.Targeting decision makers in Higher Education, the Business Development Manager will work closely with the Solutions Consultant to present the range of platforms available, demonstrating the software solutions to clients, showcasing the value and benefits and offering adjustments tailored to their needs.The Business Development Manager will be a strong relationship builder with a customer-centric mindset. Working as both a hunter and farmer, the Business Development Manager will ensure new business opportunities are secured to drive company growth as well as provide a high level, consultative account management service to existing customers to guarantee customer satisfaction and repeat business.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Managing the full sales cycle from lead development through to close, developing your relationships with the key decision makersUnderstanding your clients business and overall business goals to ensure you are able to communicate effectively how they can benefit from the solutions you can offerEffectively manage a pipeline of sales opportunities as well as maintain an exceptional level of client relationship managementTo represent the company to the highest standardIdentify and secure new business opportunities to drive company growth.Maintain and grow existing client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retention.Effectively present and demonstrate SaaS/software solutions to clients, showcasing the value and benefits tailored to their needs.Work closely with solutions engineers to create customised configurations and demos that address specific client requirements.Develop and submit compelling tenders to secure business contracts.About you:The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record of securing new business wins within the Higher Education Sector. An accountable and inquisitive individual with a consultative approach would be the culture fit within the organisation and these traits will also allow the Business Development Manager to gain credibility and rapport quickly in the industry.This role will require the Business Development Manager to be a self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision and guidance, creating freedom and autonomy for the right individual who has the drive and determination to succeed.What are the requirements?Proven track record of exceeding targets/KPI’sExperience presenting SaaS/software solutions to clientsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within an organization.Proven experience in tender writing.EdTech/SaaS background ideally HE - open to public sectorA credible, can-do attitudeThis position provides a phenomenal platform for career growth for the right candidate as well as a competitive salary package and great working culture.
