Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager at their Waterlooville Office. If you are either starting or continuing your journey in the sales sector, this could be an ideal opportunity for you.  As the Business Development Manager, you will support and help facilitate the development of new business, managing, maintaining and maximising existing business and increasing brand presence and awareness. The role will involve contacting customers over the phone and face to face meetings when required. Full product and industry training will be given for the successful candidate.  Any experience across telecoms infrastructure or fabrication manufacturing would prove useful.

Key Duties

Manage a portfolio of accounts for new and existing customers from sales to delivery
Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Identify and understand the needs of the customers
Recommend appropriate products and services
Build and maintain new and existing accounts
Produce quotes and proposals for clients
Achieve KPIs
Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
Working closely with the Business Development team to identify potential leads.
Maintaining regular contact with existing customers, developing good customer relationships at all levels, and ensuring an excellent standard of service.
Making connections to the appropriate delivery resource within the team and ensuring a smooth handover.
Conducting follow-up calls to attain customer feedback on service delivery.
Be driven in nature, tenacious and keen to reach achievable KPI’s
Be able to sell and introduce products to both large and small sized potential clients and deal with decision makers negotiating pricing and closing deals

Skills and Knowledge

Establish good relationships with new clients by using your own initiative.
Ability to work to multiple deadlines / timeframes.
Good telephone manner
Understand the customer’s needs and deliver an excellent customer experience.
A good verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
Full driving licence is essential.
Friendly and Approachable
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

Salary Package

£30-45K depending on industry knowledge and career experience
