Up to £50,000 (DOE)

Location - Home or site based: UK wide

Worthing, Barnsley, Wolverhampton, Lincoln or Midlands

and / or

Office based: London, Carlisle or Sheffield, plus regular national travel as required.

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit Business Development Manager to join a dynamic and growing Energy company, working with District Heating Schemes across the UK. The role is best suited for an experienced Salesperson, who can build strong relationships with clients and customers.

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Identify major heat users in the local area, specifically hospitals, schools, universities, offices, shopping centres etc
• Develop and maintain relationships with major heat users – communicating over email, LinkedIn, attending regular networking events
• Work alongside the Project Development Team to secure Supply Agreements
• Seek opportunities to develop low carbon heat networks
• Facilitate compatibility surveys
• Support Engineers with technical engagements
• Attend events across the UK, in towns and cities, to build relationships (this will require regular travel, including some overnight stays – estimated at once every 2-3 weeks) and may include some international travel
• Implement and manage the CRM System for the connections team
• Any other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with Stakeholders and build rapport with the local community
• Be comfortable speaking out in meetings and events
• Hold a genuine commitment to making a positive impact within the local community and driving sustainable solutions
• Be able to work using self-initiative, have strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capability
• Have the confidence to speak with key stakeholders, developing trust and buy-in, be comfortable at presenting at a senior level
• Be comfortable coordinating between different reams and working in a fast-paced environment
