Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Redditch, B98
Annual Salary: Up to £42,000 (DOE)
Working Days & Hours:


  • Monday to Thursday - 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday - 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Purpose of the Business Development Manager:
The role of the Business Development Manager is to build and maintain customer relationships, present BFC to new clients, collaborate cross-departmentally, and maximize turnover and profitability across multiple market sectors.
Key Duties:


  • Achieve personal sales targets and gross margin objectives
  • Regularly contact and visit current customers using CRM; report back promptly
  • As a Business Development Manager, you will identify and develop potential customers into active accounts
  • Update internal reporting systems (Outlook calendar, Sales Funnel, etc.)
  • Process and follow up on enquiries and quotations individually or as a team
  • Collaborate with colleagues on sales projects
  • Deliver new business through cross-departmental project management
  • Support internal sales team and account managers as needed
  • Attend relevant UK and overseas events
  • Assist with customer-specific activities, such as aged debt management

Requirements:


  • Experience selling industrial fasteners or engineered components
  • As a Business Development Manager, you must possess proven ability in customer relationship building
  • Effective project management for customer-led initiatives
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with commercial acumen
  • Organised, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Valid passport for worldwide travel
  • Valid driving licence
