Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer / Sales Manager required for a global subcontract manufacturer who specialise in CNC machining and provide different components to the aerospace, medical, defence, automotive and engineering industries. Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer / Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business and increasing sales with their current accounts. This is a hybrid position that will involve external travel to meet clients from the Southeast up to the Midlands as well as travel to the office in East Sussex 2-3 days a week. Were looking for someone with a technical sales background and the successful Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer / Sales Manager will be able to read technical drawings and hold a qualification in an engineering discipline or have relevant sales experience in the engineering sector. Package: £50,000 - £60,000 Basic £80,000 - £90,000 OTE Company Car Commission Structure Bonus 24 days holiday + 6 bank holidays Pension Scheme Role:Source new business for a global subcontract manufacturer who specialise in CNC and machining using a variety of different methods such as presenting, networking and attending tradeshows and exhibitionsMake visits to potential clients and current ones from the Southeast up to the Midlands to develop relationships and discuss their requirementsIncrease sales with current accounts and new ones from the aerospace, medical, defence, automotive and other engineering industries to achieve company growthTravel to the office in East Sussex 2-3 days a week to communicate with the internal sales team to find suitable leads and strategize how to target themBid on new projects and negotiate terms with suitable prospectsRead technical drawings and make important decisions using your technical background and company knowledge on whether the work can be achievedMeet with clients in person, on site and over Microsoft TeamsSet annual and quarterly targets to work towards Requirements:Prior experience as a Business Development Manager / Commercial Manager / Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Key Account Manager within the engineering sectorA qualification in an engineering disciplineAbility to read technical drawings / engineering drawingsCommutable to the head office in East Sussex and the willingness to cover the South up to the MidlandsExperience with CNC and Machining would be advantageousJBRP1_UKTJ
