Business Development Manager

You will lead the development and growth of the EMS business streams. Your primary focus will be developing the business entity, identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships to achieve sales.

Job Role


  • Work closely with the Senior Management team and in conjunction with Group Companies and colleagues to develop opportunities
  • Develop and lead marketing activities
  • Co-ordinate RFQ process, commercial and contract stages, sometimes in conjunction with colleagues in HQ
  • Achieve revenue and customer development plans
  • Develop strategic relationships to grow EMS business streams, as well as identifying new opportunities
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging technologies 

To apply for this Business Development Director role, your skills, expertise, and experience should include:


  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the EMS industry sectors
  • Ideally an engineering background with experience of PCBs, electronics, moulding, etc.
  • Proven record of being highly commercial and results-focused, with a creative and innovative approach
  • Full understanding and proven ability to enhance revenue, margins, and operating profit to meet goals
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Ability to present confidently
  • Ability and experience in operating within an engineering services business
