Business Development Manager
Location : Wakefield
Salary: c£45,000 + bonus + benefits (negotiable - depending on experience)
The Role
Our client, Assent Building Compliance, is a national Registered Building Control Approver and they support the development of safe & inspirational buildings of the future in accordance with the Building Safety Regulations. They deliver building control solutions (including fire safety, warranty and advisory services) on over 30,000 projects a year in both domestic and commercial buildings, and are a dynamic and forward-thinking company, where people are at the heart of everything they do. To drive sales growth, they require an outstanding individual to become a key member of their Sales/Commercial team, based in Wakefield.
Working closely with the commercial team the purpose of this role is to drive and deliver the UK sales growth by developing strategies and seeking out new business growth opportunities. A key part of this role will be to research and identify potential customers and business opportunities to increase company revenue along with building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers and use insights to adjust strategies and identify growth opportunities. You will act as one of the primary points of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and working with internal teams (including marketing and operations) you will align efforts to ensure smooth execution of business strategies.
Skills and Qualifications
To be shortlisted for this role you will need:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth.
Experience of selling services in a B2B environment is a must and knowledge of building control, building compliance and relevant industry experience is a plus as is experience in completing tender applications.
To be motivated, confident and enthusiastic, naturally develop relationships with clients and possess a customer focused approach.
To be proficient in the use of CRM software and all Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, Power BI).
