Job Description

In this role you will be leading the day-to-day management of our flagship account, Pampers.  This role offers a diverse range of strategic, creative and growth opportunities with a great balance of being involved in both the highest-level meetings with the most senior clients and agency staff and hands on with the smallest details of the work. You will report directly to Chief Business Officer of PG One and have a team to support you, including two Senior Account Director reports.

Key attributes to meet the role responsibilities:

  • A strong work ethic – there are a lot of projects across regions running simultaneously, so the right candidate will relish that complexity, be able juggle multiple priorities, work at pace and be able to motivate themselves and the rest of the team through the busiest periods. You need to be innately curious and comfortable with being uncomfortable and able to pivot and react quickly.
  • Creative Sensibility – you need to be a strong creative partner to the Executive Creative Director, have excellent creative judgement, ensure all work is on brief and the best it can be, bringing in the right internal stakeholders at the right time. You will be tenacious in protecting great ideas and have the drive to put forward proactive, fresh or progressive ideas. In an ever-changing world, you’ll be hungry to find new and innovative ways of addressing challenges, future-proof our business and driving a digital first agenda.
  • Digitally Strong – Well versed in social commerce, especially Tik-Tok (Brand & Creator Lead) and talking the role Generative AI will play. Lead and definite best practices, working closely with creative and production to work out more agile and cost-effective ways of creating/producing social content.
  • Strategic rigour - P&G requires greater strategic competency than almost any other client.  This person will be required to partner with our team of planners to uncover fresh insights and thinking, collaborate with the client’s consumer knowledge department on qualitative and quantitative research/ concept development and feel comfortable and confident having in depth and nuanced strategic discussions with senior level clients.
  • Strong leadership – alongside your direct report, the wider team (planning, production, project management, digital) all look to this person for guidance and clarity on a regular basis.  It’s crucial this person has a solution focused attitude and can lead through ambiguity, driving a culture of possibilities, not limitations. Being able to motivate and support the agency team will be vital to building a high-performance culture as will fostering trust with the client. The person needs to feel strong, competent, all over the detail, invested and passionate. Our Pampers’ leaders are not afraid to muck in wherever is needed and foster a true team spirit without hierarchy. 
  • Commercial and financial acumen – the team have clear growth targets that they are expected to meet/ exceed every time – the right candidate will be hungry to seek out growth opportunities, be commercially savvy, manage the annual scope of work and tracking in partnership with the other Business Directors. They’ll also naturally encourage this appetite for growth in the rest of the team.
  • Efficiency-Focused - The ideal candidate will excel at driving processes and identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies and agility. Their proactive approach and strategic mindset should foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence that streamlines workflows and boosts productivity, without compromise on quality.

Required experience:

  • Several years advertising agency experience
  • Experience in working with large brands across multiple markets
  • Experience in marketing well known FMCG brands
  • Experienced leader and manager of teams
