Buyer (Construction)

A large residential construction contractor based in Central London is looking for�an additional Buyer to join their purchasing team.
Daily Duties

• The procurement of construction materials for high end residential developments


• Working with site teams to ensure that their deadlines are met


• Building on new and existing relationships with builders merchants and construction specific suppliers


• Record management via a purchase order system

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant experience in working for a similar contractor in the residential market is preferred


• Experience of working within alternative construction contractors could also be considered as advantageous


• Proficiency in purchase order management system is essential


• Competency in all standard MS packages


• Negotiation and rapport building skills are required


• To be able to work as a part of a high performing purchasing team
