Team Jobs have a great opportunity to work as a Buyer in Peterlee & Skinningrove to start ASAP.

Pay rate up to �23.40 per hour dependant on experience.

The job is split between two sites, it's absolutely vital that two days as a minimum are spent at Peterlee and two days as a minimum are spent at Skinningrove.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Key Assignment Activities:

  1. Implement and review P2P process, using guideline from Peterlee.
  2. Align local procurement compliance procedure to corporate procedures, using Peterlee as guideline.
  3. Stabilise and clean the supply base in line with Peterlee strategy.

Remaining Assignment Activities:

  • Support execution of category strategy for Tailored Categories.
  • Develop and manage suppliers' performance (QCLDM), support OPACC improvement agenda (OIA)
  • Gain deep understanding of supply base in Europe and become a trusted advisor to internal customers.
  • Managing policies, agreements, source catalogues, and special purchasing programs
  • Provide leadership for sourcing, logistics and resource management decisions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and liaison with corresponding Category Buyers from other regions.
  • Daily tasks such as but not limited to Invoice grief, Supplier shortages, Expediting materials.
  • Responsible for the management of PO's, in line with company compliance Regulations.
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes.
  • Liaise between Customers and Buyers in challenging situations.
  • Administration relating to Procurement and purchasing of indirect materials.
  • To integrate supplier Catalogues, including negotiation and commercial agreement
  • Manage Procurement metrics with the support of GEP - External Provider (Procurement lead time etc).

Skills, experience & qualifications you will have:

  • MCIPS qualified or working to achieve or equivalent experience in a Buying or Purchasing role.
  • Previous experience within a Buying or Purchasing role.
  • Experience in developing working relationship with others inside and outside the department.
  • English (advanced level); MS Office (Excel); good communications skills
