Elevation Recruitment Group are searching for a Buyer to join an SME manufacturing business based in Rotherham. The right candidate will be joining a tight-knit team who prioritise development and growth internally above all and offer some great benefits like hybrid working, private healthcare, flexi time, and career progression support!
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure visibility of all items within the supply chain
- Support production to meet delivery dates, enabling the shipment of units and spares On Time In Full (OTIF) through expediting and substitution when necessary
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers
- Negotiate favourable terms and costs with suppliers
- Collaborate with the design team to identify alternatives and substitutions in the event of shortages
Previous Experience:
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Showcase success in developing supplier relationships, managing vendor performance, and conducting successful negotiations
- Be a collaborative team player capable of independent initiative
- Exhibit excellent communication and IT skills
- Have experience using MRP /ERP systems
