Elevation Recruitment Group are searching for a Buyer to join an SME Manufacturing business based in Rotherham.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, components, and services
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains
Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or service
Manage inventory levels to meet production demands while minimising excess stock and obsolescence
Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to support the preparation of cost estimates for new projects or products
Analyse material costs and market trends to provide accurate pricing for budgeting and project proposals
Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing, material substitution, or process improvements
Work closely with the production planning team to ensure materials are available in line with production schedules
Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders, deliveries, or payments
