Concept- IT is pleased to be working once again with a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation seeking a proactive Buyer with strong experience in category management, sourcing new suppliers, and supplier management. You'll be a
key contributor in ensuring they deliver exceptional value to our customers through effective purchasing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead category management initiatives to optimise procurement strategies and supplier relationships.
Source and on-board new suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality, price, and service standards.
Manage and develop supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and monitoring supplier performance to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Work closely with internal teams to align purchasing decisions with business goals and provide innovative solutions to procurement challenges.
Conduct market analysis and research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the supply chain.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and value delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in a Buyer or Procurement role, ideally with a focus on category management and supplier sourcing.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage and influence supplier relationships.
Experience in sourcing new suppliers and building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a track record of problem-solving and driving results.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical abilities, with experience in market research and trend analysis.
