Our client, a leading food manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to support their multiple UK business units in day-to-day procurement activities and to support with local and group purchasing projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and manage key supplier relationships to optimise local site operations.
- Lead procurement activities in development projects, including sourcing, negotiation, and contractual agreements.
- Drive and support procurement standardization processes.
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and improvements within the purchasing process.
- Collate quotes for new raw materials and packaging.
Candidate requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications will be desirable.
- Proven buying experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data analysis and deriving insights
- Advanced data management skills, especially in Excel
- Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques
On offer:
- Basic salary will be circa �38K to �40K
