Buyer

Our client, a leading food manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to support their multiple UK business units in day-to-day procurement activities and to support with local and group purchasing projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and manage key supplier relationships to optimise local site operations.


• Lead procurement activities in development projects, including sourcing, negotiation, and contractual agreements.


• Drive and support procurement standardization processes.


• Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and improvements within the purchasing process.


• Collate quotes for new raw materials and packaging.

Candidate requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications will be desirable.


• Proven buying experience in a FMCG manufacturing environment


• Strong analytical skills, comfortable with data analysis and deriving insights


• Advanced data management skills, especially in Excel


• Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques

On offer:

• Basic salary will be circa �38K to �40K
