Description
- Source and procure goods and services in line with organisation requirements.
- Manage relationships with suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions.
- Develop procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Lead and represent the Supply Chain Department.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast future supply needs.
- Handle issues relating to quality, cost, delivery and inventory management.
Profile
A successful Buyer should have:
- Minimum 3+ years previous experience in a similar role within the engineering sector.
- Experience using an MRP system.
- Strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
- Good knowledge of supplier sourcing practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Experience of technical drawings.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
