Buyer

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join their procurement team. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing raw materials and servics for two UK manufaturing sites.

Principle Tasks

• Issue Purchase Orders using our MRP System
• Expedite orders and work proactively to minimise supply concerns
• Management of stocks for 2 UK production sites
• Maintaining data within the ERP system
• Stock management
• Product costing & reporting

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong IT Skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel data analysis
• A minimum of 3 years Purchasing experience, ideally in the manufacturing sector
• Excellent organisational and time management
• Confident communicator with internal and external partners

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Broad and demonstrable knowledge working withan ERP/MRP system
• Strong negotiation skills for pricing, delivery, quality of products and services
• Man management experience would be advantageous.
