Mon - Fri 08.30 - 5.30 - 40 hours (Office based)

A very successful, independent, family orientated FMCG retailer, with over 300 stores are seeking a Buyer to join their Commercial Team in their Midlands Head Office.

It's a fast paced environment where you will be given guidance and you will be ultimately responsible for managing your own categories.

The Buying role will involve:

• Developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers, ranging from global FMCG brands to small family run businesses.


• Negotiating and agreeing prices and trading terms, placing orders in line with demand.


• Creating a balanced commercial plan based around growth and reviewing ranges.

The ideal person will have:

• Previous experience of working as a Buyer in a Purchasing or Buying environment - within FMCG


• Commercial and market awareness and the desire to further develop knowledge and skills


• Excellent communication skills at all levels and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.


• Ability to work at a fast pace and make quick decisions and further your Buying career within in a dynamic and evolving environment
