p We have a fantastic opportunity available for an additional Buying Assistant to join our Seasonal Coordination team. /p p br br Like the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description. br /p p Working collaboratively across all departments; Regions, Trading, Store Operations, Buying Teams, National Supply Chain and Advertising & Marketing, you will be responsible for managing the efficient and accurate flow of correspondence and information, both incoming and outgoing, with external and internal parties and proposing or taking action where appropriate. /p p br /p p strong If you’re always striving to improve and want to join a really important part of the business, apply to join #TeamAldi today! /strong /p p br /p p strong Your New Role /strong /p ul li Coordination of extensive reporting during Key Events, including analysis of KPI related data such as sell through, promotional activity and inventory levels along with the addition of circumstance-based value /li li Identification of areas for improvement to maximise the value, accuracy, and timeliness of Key Event reporting /li li Delivery of performance tracking reports highlighting KPI related risks to Buying, to highlight opportunities for improving commercial success /li li Determination of forecasting logic applied to inform price change decisions /li li Collection, evaluation, and manipulation of varied retail data to generate insights, identify trends and recommend strategies to improve departmental KPIs /li li Efficient consolidation of data from several sources, formatted effectively for analysis /li li Identification of relevant short and long-term data trends and pro-active initiation of follow up analysis and preparation of business-friendly reports /li li Understanding and awareness of all relevant commercial drivers (e.g. Product, Price, Promotion, Price Change etc.) and what levers can be pulled to improve commercial performance /li li Delivery of Key Event training to new starters /li li Liaising and building strong relationships with Key Stakeholders across the business /li li Liaising and building strong relationships with our Service Departments to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of information /li li Monitoring and controlling adherence to all deadlines /li li Continuous improvement within role, simplifying processes and operations to maximise efficiencies /li li Supporting the delivery of the departmental strategy as required /li /ul p strong About You /strong /p ul li Previous experience in a Buying role /li li Strong verbal and written communication skills /li li Good ability to build and maintain relationships /li li Highly organised with an excellent attention to detail /li li Able to investigate, analyse and challenge appropriately /li li Able to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously /li li Ability to work individually and as part of a wider team /li li Positive can-do attitude /li li Ability to work in a fast-paced environment /li li Proactive and able to use your initiative /li li Good Excel and PowerPoint skills /li li Sound database management experience /li li Experience of working in a highly commercial environment (e.g. Retail, FMCG) /li li Self-motivated – must be productive with minimal direction /li li Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment /li li Excellent visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data /li li Strong problem-solving capabilities /li li Excellent attention to detail /li li Proactive in planning to achieve targets and objectives /li li Respectful of individuals’ views and a positive contributor to a learning environment in which individuals are supported and encouraged to excel /li /ul p strong What You’ll get in Return /strong /p ul li Salary starting £36,080 rising to £42,125 /li li Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working /li li 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays /li li In office flexi-time /li li Full training provided /li li Pension scheme /li li Private employee medical insurance after 4 years /li li Company sick pay scheme /li li Company maternity and adoption pay after 1 year and paternity leave pay after 2 years /li li Long service rewards /li li Access to MyBenefits, where you can find a wide range of benefits, including our bike to work scheme, shopping and cinema discounts, health cash plan, a FREE will, travel and discounted gym memberships, as well as a host of benefits to support your financial and wellbeing needs /li li Access to a free,24/7, confidential virtual GP service for all Aldi Colleagues and their children (under the age of 16) /li /ul p br /p p Please be advised candidates are required to live within 90 minutes of the main office location for this role /p p br /p p Aldi is an equal opportunities employer.
