Cable Technician

Location: Saffron Walden (CB10)

Duration: Ongoing, likely to become permanent for the right person

Hours: 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday with a 2:30pm finish on a Friday

Salary: �25,000

Polytec are looking for a Technician for our Saffron Walden based client. You should have good wiring and soldering skills and be able to produce high quality work.

Responsibilities:

* Interpret and understand drawings

* Ensure compliance with quality procedures, notifying of any deviation or non-conformance

* Mechanical assembly

* Termination of subsea electrical connectors, cable joining and top side electrical junction boxes

* Swaging of hydraulic / pneumatic hoses and their integration to stab plates, winches and QRC's.

* Soldering

Requirements:

* Electrical / hydraulic background

* Wiring and soldering skills

* Experience within a similar role would be beneficial

* Ability to prioritise tasks effectively, working quickly and accurately

* Ability to effectively review problems
