An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer to join a dynamic manufacturing team bases in the Preston area. This role involves programming CNC sheet metal machinery using Radan CAD-CAM software, creating flat pattern fold drawings, and working with 2D and 3D CAD models. The successful candidate will support multiple facilities, ensuring seamless fabrication and modification processes while liaising closely with production teams.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in CAD/CAM programming and CNC machinery. It would suit someone with excellent IT skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively across various teams. If you have experience in programming software such as Radan, Amada, or Autodesk Inventor, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
Program CNC sheet metal machinery using Radan CAD-CAM software for multiple sites.
Create flat pattern fold drawings for press brake operators.
Work with 2D (DXF) and 3D (DTM, STEP) CAD models from the Design Team.
Issue replacement parts and modifications during fabrication, assembly, and testing.
Communicate with production teams to provide updates and support fabrication departments.
The benefits of the role would include a competitive salary of from �13 per hour and is negotiable depending on experience, 20 days hols + Bank Hols, Time and a half for 39 hours, Monday to Friday 7.30am till 4.30pm and finish at 1 pm on Saturday and Sat AM Double time- Sat PM + Sundays and bank holidays
