CAD Design & Sales Support Engineer

We are looking for an experienced CAD Design & Sales Support Engineer to join a thriving engineering company in Haverhill, Suffolk. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and support sales efforts.

The ideal candidate will be able to meet production schedules and client needs by creating 3D CAD models, production drawings, and CAM programs, along with route cards and bills of materials. Also able to offer sales and project management support, produce visuals and approval drawings, help with estimates, and visit customers on-site.

Duties Will Include:

• Support the sales and project management teams to retain and generate new business
• Work with the CAD/CAM team in creating 3D models, approval/production drawings, and CAM programs, ensuring timely completion for production schedules
• Provide design input, document procedures, follow jobs from order to delivery, stay updated on software, and develop team skills through training
• Liaise with customers, sales, production teams, and suppliers on technical queries, prototype design, and drawing approval

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD, drafting, CAM programming, and knowledge of sheet metal/fabrication.
• Previous sales and project management experience would be advantageous
• Applicants MUST have a full driving licence
• Excellent communication, time management, organisation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
• Ability to travel anywhere in the UK

Hrs, Pay & Benefits:

• Negotiable based on skill level and industry knowledge
• 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday & an early start/finish on Fridays.
• Starting 20 days holiday per year, increasing to 25 days after one years' service
• Profit share bonus scheme (discretionary)
