CAD Designer

The business is looking for a driven and motivated CAD Designer to support the team through these exciting times.

The Role




  • Utilize AutoCad and/or Advanced Steel software to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, cutting list, BOMs and working production drawings for our manufacturing facility, ensuring adherence to project specifications and requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop concept designs and translate them into precise CAD models and technical drawings.

  • Conduct design reviews and make necessary modifications to enhance the functionality, efficiency, and aesthetics of the designs.

  • Manage and organize CAD libraries, templates, and project files to maintain consistency and standardization across projects.

  • Generate accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and assist in procurement activities as required.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in AutoCad & Advanced Steel software, and implement best practices in the design process.

  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables while meeting quality standards.

  • Provide technical support and expertise to colleagues, production team and team members on CAD-related matters.

  • Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines throughout the design process.



The Person




  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer, with a strong delivery of production detailed drawings within the steel manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in 3D modelling, assembly design, and drafting using AutoCad and or Advanced Steel

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in CAD modelling and documentation.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders..

  • Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design challenges efficiently.

  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
