CAD DESIGNER

We are currently looking for a CAD Designer with the following profile to work with our client involved in a variety of projects including Commercial, Industrial, Leisure and Educational projects

• Technical qualifications (BTEC, HNC, Degree, etc) in an engineering or construction related discipline.


• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD


• An understanding of Revit or other BIM compliant modelling software advantageous but not essential.


• Able to interpret architectural and engineering drawings to create technical designs.


• Ability to produce 2D and/or 3D drawings / models ideally in any of the following:
  
  
  
  • Curtain Walling / Exterior Glazing
  
  
  • Roofing or Cladding
  
  
  • Architectural Metalwork
  
  
  
  


• Strong understanding of building and construction, materials and industry standards ideally with respect to the exterior building envelope.


• Confidence in discussing technical issues with Project Managers, Engineers and Architects


• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and technical specifications as well as managing CAD files and project documentation.


• Excellent communication and organisational skills
