Calling all creatively minded, CAD Draughtspeople!! If you are looking for a new role that’s engaging and makes use of your excellent technical prowess then we have the role for you. An exciting opportunity for an experienced Draughtsman, or woman, has arisen to work for our well-established and friendly Design team in an organisation which produces high quality fabrication of sheet metal and wood product ranges for retail and commercial premises. Role Overview:

This role will be working for our brand Nuttall and based in Dudley, DY2. Helping shape the industry for nearly 60 years, Nuttall is the UK’s foremost specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of retail environments.

Here you will play a crucial role in developing models and creating technical drawings to deliver high design standards and turn briefs into series of drawings or visuals that the Operations team can use. You will also work closely with, and provide excellent support to, the Design Manager; Working together to surpass customer and business expectations.

Your contributions will be central to our site activities, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the black country atmosphere and collaborate closely with our dedicated team to push boundaries and shatter expectations.

* Produce sheet metal and welded assembly drawings for manufacture, guaranteeing best practice and value engineered manufacturing methods are used.

* Produce joinery components and assemblies for manufacture.

* Produce acrylic, glass drawings and any other materials which are part of your project.

* Using Solid Edge drawing software, amalgamate this information into an ERP system.

* Work closely with the Data Management department, ensuring all relevant processes are followed.

* Issue manufacturing drawings to the Production, Contracts and Data departments.

* Produce amazing 3D rendered visuals for client approval.

* Create and maintain component part numbers and bills of material.

* Get out there and visit Operational sites for survey purposes.

* Attend client meetings, interact with clients to exchange ideas and information

* Collaborate in internal meetings to obtain complete design briefs.

* Report any problems or quality issues and ensure drawings are fully compliant with business, client, industry and health and safety standards and protocols.

You’re All We Need:

* Minimum 2 years industrial experience in an equivalent role in the fabrication/manufacturing industry

* Strong technical aptitude and the ability to interpret engineering drawings

* Experience in designing to manufacture

* Solid understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes

* Commercial awareness as it applies to designing and a value engineering approach

* Excellent people skills and clear communication with the ability to form strong team bonds and communicate ideas in a way that anyone can understand

* Must be computer literate (Excel, Word, MS Projects etc)

* Can do attitude & fast learner

* Proficiency with AutoCAD and Solid Edge

* Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management skills.

* Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
