CAD Technician

Our client is currently seeking a skilled CAD Technician with a focus on highways to join their team on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating detailed CAD drawings for highway projects, including drainage, active travel, carriageway, and footway designs
• Collaborating with engineers to develop and refine CAD models and designs
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations in all drawings and designs
• Updating and maintaining project documentation and CAD libraries
• Assisting in the preparation of technical reports and presentations
• Providing support for the design and planning of infrastructure projects
• Contributing to the delivery of successful project outcomes through effective communication and team collaboration

Job Requirements:

• Experience in CAD design, particularly within the highway sector
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or similar
• Understanding of drainage, active travel, and carriageway/footway design principles
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Relevant qualifications in CAD design or similar field
