Our client, based in Teesside, is looking for a CAD Technician to join their Engineering team. The role will be to provide CAD support to Engineering and Projects across the sites.�
Hours of work would be�35 hours, 08.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
Key Accountabilities:
- Work closely with the engineering team assisting with any CAD requirements.
- Produce concept drawings for internally developed feasibility stages of customer enquiries (2D & 3D).
- Manage the system for personnel to request updates to Key Process Safety Information.
- Draft changes to Key Process Safety Information master drawings based on red line drawings from field surveys.
- As-build Key Process Safety Information master drawings in readiness for handover of projects to operations and maintenance.
- Develop drawings for minor modifications for design modifications carried out in house by SMEs. e.g Instrument loop drawings, JB connection drawings, GAs, P&IDs, Plot Plans, Instrument Hook Up Drawings and Hazardous Area Classification drawings
- Maintain a database of asset tag numbers/line numbers for issue to Engineering team/third parties on projects
- Develop company CAD standard templates for issue to design houses.
- Produce engineering drawings from survey data / 3D Models.
- Provide administrative assistance to the engineering team where required.
- Review of QA documentation for handover work packs, preparation of commissioning procedures and site commissioning.
- Manage documentation/data/records within document management systems.
Requirements:�
- Previous experience as a CAD technician within the oil and gas, or chemical sector is highly�advantageous�
- Experience with smartplant CAD or similar is desirable
