This role seeks an accomplished Capital Works Manager with a strong background in the housing and construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of capital work projects across Broxtowe Borough Council's portfolio.

Description

  • Organisational lead for planned works projects across the housing and commercial portfolio
  • Reporting into the Head of Asset Management & Development
  • Management of a team of Building Surveyors and Capital Works Team.
  • Responsibility of circa 4,500 residential properties and 300 commercial units.
  • Overseeing the strategic plan for external contractors delivering works.
  • Maintenance & construction.
  • Health & Safety and CDM.
  • Ensuring of high quality homes for our customers.
  • Retrofit decarbonisation projects.
  • Financial management.

Profile

A successful Capital Works Manager should have:

  • Relevant construction qualifications.
  • Proven track record operating in the social housing sector.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, property management and planned works programme strategies.
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
