Here at Randstad, we have opportunities for you on the Scottish Islands, the Shetlands, which may be your next exciting position. You'll have a minimum 12-week commitment (with potential for extensions) and enjoy free accommodation while experiencing the breathtaking beauty of the islands during your time off.

About the Role & Responsibilities:


  • We have a range of exciting roles available, including care in the community, care at home, and care home work.
  • Experience working with a variety of service users is desirable, including those with learning disabilities, elderly, dementia, physical disabilities, and some challenging behaviour.
  • You'll help and care for people who need support, building meaningful relationships and promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Explore the breathtaking beauty of the Scottish islands during your time off.
  • Assist service users with daily tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, moving and handling, household tasks, and general domiciliary care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members and professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, resilience, and a genuine interest in helping people.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a care home or in a community care/care at home environment
  • Compassionate and caring towards others with a desire to help people
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and stay calm in stressful situations
  • Strong ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • Moving and handling training and medication administration training
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
