Social Care worker / Care worker is needed to support�Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council on temporay basis in a residential unit in�Treharris

Essential�

Completion of 10 hour online Welsh Work course.

QCF Level 2 in Care or a similar qualification recognized by Social Care Wales, or willingness to undertake this within first year of employment.

Competent in the following topics or ability to complete training.

Safeguarding�

Care with medicines�

Control of infection�

Food Safety�

Moving & handing�

Fire safety�

Sensory impairment�

Mental health awareness�

Continence care�

Care & responsibility�

First aid�

Commitment to undertake training which is relevant to the individuals who are being supported.

At least 1 years�experience in a social care role within a registered setting would be preferred.

Special requirements:

Be able to work flexibly including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and bank holidays depending on the needs of the service.�

Hold a valid driving license and be willing to drive our minibus for activities�
