Care Worker

Red Sector Recruitment are currently looking for care workers to work in a Learning Disabilities service providing outreach support to Orkney Locals.�

On a daily basis you will enable individuals to;

- To make informed choices using their preferred communication methods,

- To take part in their chosen activities, including day trips off the island, attending local events, shopping, going on holiday etc. Practitioners can expect to go out and about with supported individuals to places of interest,

- To complete all necessary tasks which enable them to maintain their homes, including paying bills and supporting them to make the decisions that matter to them.

Requirments;

- Experience of working within social care is desirable however not essential as we are seeking to appoint people who are willing to learn and develop into the role.

- You are required to hold registration or be registered with the SSSC

- The post is subject to Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG)

- Holding a full current UK driving licence is desirable
