Caretaker

Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £12-£15 per hour
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our secondary schools in Chelmsford on a full-time basis, starting immediately. This position will provide cover in the absence of our regular Caretaker, with the opportunity to work for a week or more. The successful Caretaker will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and security of the school premises.

• Ensure that the school building and grounds are well-maintained and secure.
• Carry out minor repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Monitor and manage the security of the school, including locking and unlocking the premises.
• Assist with setting up and packing away for school events and activities.
• Report any major maintenance or security concerns.

You will work closely with staff and students to ensure the school environment is welcoming and conducive to learning. As a Caretaker, you will also need to be flexible and proactive in handling any unforeseen tasks that arise during the school day.

Shift Time:
Monday - Friday, 11:30 am - 7:30 pm
