They seek a Category r to develop and execute procurement strategies taking responsibility for a diverse range of strategic sourcing Food and Beverage projects and tenders to deliver value add, cost savings, mitigate supply chain risk and delivery for all clientele.This Category opportunity is career transforming and provides ample opportunities for professional development by opening the doors to an extensive network of globally recognised Food and Beverage suppliers and a dynamic & collaborative working environment.If you are an ambitious and experienced Category with tangible experience procuring Food and Beverages, joining this world-class & multi-award-winning procurement function could be an exciting and logical next career move for you.They operate on flexible hybrid working arrangements at their Hertfordshire HQ.Category Manager Food & Beverage Responsibilities:Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as key suppliers to collaborate and deliver cost savings on food & beverage related spend.Create category & sourcing strategies and identify market opportunities to ensure the company’s operations / output remains market leading.Develop and implement strategies prior to upcoming projects, contract expiry and premediate market changes which will commercially affect the firm.Mentor / Performance monitor buyers to ensure sourcing strategies and tender outcomes are maximizing commercial success and value.Assess and mitigate commodity risk, monitor market trends and devise strategies with the supply base to reduce issues moving forward.Adhere to sustainable sourcing practices and contract & framework compliance.Required Experience:Strong commercial acumen and end to end procurement experience within Food & Beverages,Demonstrable experience focused on strategic sourcing or category management.Strong commercial acumen & negotiation skills, strong communicator and the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders / suppliers to influence buy in.Ability to achieve cost savings against volatile / changing market conditionsProcurement experience on strategic levelIf you are enticed by acquiring greater category responsibility or exposure to a broad, lucrative & fast-moving product range within an iconic firm please submit your CV to – #####
