Role Overview:As a Category Manager for Cooking and Dish, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing long-term business strategies to achieve sales and profit targets. This role involves exploring and optimising market routes, selecting the best marketing channels, sales strategies, and pricing models to ensure the sustained success of our products.Key Responsibilities:GTM Strategy Leadership:Drive the GTM strategy for Cooking and Dish, ensuring the successful market launch of products.Channel Management:Oversee internal and external category meetings, GFK analysis, and provide strategic direction.Digital Presence:Lead the development and management of product pages and category exposure on the website.Market Analysis:Analyse consumer trends and review sales data to inform strategy.Sales Support:Manage sales promotions, marketing initiatives, and promoter activities/ training to support sales channels.Campaign Management:Collaborate with Trade Marketing to create and implement cooking and dish campaigns, ensuring effective execution and auditing across accounts.Competitive Analysis:Monitor and report on retailer and competitor activities and positioning within the Cooking and Dish categories.Range Review Meetings:Support the sales team during range review meetings with senior decision-makers, focusing on Cooking and Dish categories.Pricing and Trends Reporting:Provide current pricing and product trend information, collaborating with management to develop new strategies.Business Performance Reviews:Lead business performance reviews and strategic plans, including product development and selection for the UK market.HQ Reporting:Prepare reports and presentations for HQ, responding promptly to requests.Reporting Collaboration:Work with the Business Intelligence lead to create reports on stock, sales, and market data.Brand Awareness:Drive brand awareness across accounts in alignment with marketing strategies.Social Media Coordination:Ensure the social media plan aligns with category focus by working closely with the social media team.Additional Tasks:Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.Requirements:Education:Degree level education.Experience:Minimum of 2 years experience in MDA sales or buying role, managing national accounts, brands, or categories.Sector Experience:Prior experience within the Cooking and Dish categories is advantageous.
