Are you an ambitious, proactive Category Manager looking to get stuck into an exciting new role?
Could you drive the category strategy for one of the UK’s largest food businesses?
The Role:
We’re excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for you to manage key grocery account. Reporting directly to the Category Controller, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of leading UK food brands. In this role, you’ll be responsible for spearheading category development and achieving sustainable value and volume growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong connections with key contacts at Tesco, to support and drive category growth.
Create strategic recommendations to optimise shelf space and drive sales, ensuring alignment with growth opportunities and tracking share of shelf.
Partner closely with the sales and account teams to provide valuable insights and foster strong internal relationships for effective collaboration.
Act as the key driver of our category strategy, representing Tesco’s perspective to guide and influence business decisions.
Assist with commercial presentations and support new product development within your categories.
Keep category drivers up-to-date and ensure they are effectively utilized across all relevant teams to maintain a competitive edge.
About You:
We are looking for a commercially savvy Category Professional who thrives on data-driven insights and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will have:
A strong understanding of Category with the ability to swiftly translate complex data into actionable insights.
Proven ability to influence buyers and merchandisers through compelling, data-driven narratives.
A deep understanding of how category decisions impact overall business performance, with a focus on delivering sustainable growth.
