Category Manager working for an Industry-Leading Construction organisation with almost £4billion in revenue. Based in London with a hybrid working model. Salary ranges from £50,000 - £55,000 + package inc. Bonus and excellent progression opportunities.

Are you a passionate up-and-coming procurement professional with prior NEC exposure seeking a developmental procurement position where you can accelerate your strategic procurement abilities within an industry-leading organisation? If so, this is the perfect procurement position for you.
This renowned construction organisation is undergoing an exciting transformation of its established procurement function to ensure all processes are best practice, prior to delivering £multi-billion infrastructure procurement projects and is therefore looking to grow its team.
You will be responsible for driving a variety of strategic procurement activities across the end-to-end procurement function to support infrastructure procurement project delivery. You’ll be working within a highly strategic function with best-in-class procurement professionals where you will have invaluable daily development and coupled with the size, structure and scope of this organisation, you’ll have continuous opportunities for future progression.
  
Category manager responsibilities…
  • Drive strategic procurement activities across the end-to-end procurement function, including but not limited to, strategic sourcing, contract management, tender management and negotiation
  • Provide essential support in the delivery of large-scale and high-profile infrastructure/ major capital works procurement projects through effective procurement project management and continuous cross functional collaboration
  • Take lead on elements of the end-to-end contract management process, particularly in relation to post-contract management, where you’ll be working within the bespoke NEC suite of contracts
  
Category manager requirements…
  • Strong past exposure across the end-to-end procurement function
  • Prior NEC experience is essential, although prior JCT or FIDIC experience could be transferable
  • Desire to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
